Solar Storage for Large-Scale Renewable Energy Integration

This project was developed for an existing solar power plant in India, where battery energy storage was added to support renewable energy integration, backup power and grid stability.

The system includes a 30MWh BESS designed for 2-hour backup operation. The PCS is integrated with the existing 15MW solar plant, allowing the storage system to support peak shaving, backup power and more flexible use of solar generation.

During solar generation periods, the battery system helps store available renewable energy for later use. It also supports the site by improving power availability and reducing the impact of solar output fluctuation on the grid.
